The  inscription  was  found  in  Praisos  acropolis  in  June  1901,  by  the  British  Archaeologist  R.  C.  Bosanguet, among  the  ruins  of  a  wall   of  the  sanctuary,  in  the  northern  entrance  of  Praisos  on  Crete,  Greece.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It  dates  back  to  the  years  after    400  B.C..<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  inscribed  stone, as  it  is  depicted  in  Iakovos  Thomopoulos\u2019  book    Pelasgika  (<\/em>\u03a0\u03b5\u03bb\u03b1\u03c3\u03b3\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac<\/em><\/strong>).<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This  is  an  accurate  copy  of  the  clearly  written  text  of  the  stone,  as  this  is  found  on  page  83  of  Iakovos  Thomopoulos\u2019  book    Pelasgika  (<\/em>\u03a0\u03b5\u03bb\u03b1\u03c3\u03b3\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac<\/em>).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The text   is  about  the  Law  of  Land  Concession.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It  is an  evidence  of  justice  and  law  of  that  period  of  time.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We  studied  the  phonetic  values  in  the  actual  text. We understood  it,  we  read   and   rendered   it  into  Modern  Greek,  but  we  also  approached  it  philosophically.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  language  of  the  text  is  Greek<\/strong>,  Archaic<\/strong>, typical  of  any   Doric   text<\/strong>. The  grammatical  structure  of   the  text  is  mixed.<\/span><\/p>\n

One  can  identify   Pontic, Macedonian  and  Doric<\/strong>   words, as  well as  Classical  Greek  Language<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  utterance  of  the  words   and  of  the  verbal  types, follows  the  grammatical   rules<\/strong>  of  the  Pontic  and  Doric   Dialects, as  well  as  those  of  the  Classical  Greek   Language.<\/span><\/p>\n

A   Philosophical  Approach:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u03a4.\u039f R.M. Borrows, Conway, and  the  Greek  Iakovos   Thomopoulos  dealt  with  this  text.<\/span><\/p>\n

I  thoroughly  studied  all  the  projects  Thomopoulos  carried  out,  as  well  as  his  effort  to  approach  the  ancestral texts  through  Arvanitika<\/em><\/strong>  (the  Dialect  Arvanites  spoke),  and  I  realized  that  it  is  a  branch  of  the  Greek  Language<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In  this  text,  a  legislator  named  Fraison,  <\/strong>who  is  also  called  Sellos,<\/em> <\/strong>establishes  laws.<\/span><\/p>\n

He  distributes  land  to  those  who  deserve  it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In  the  past,  honour used  to  be  attributed  to  those  who fought  with  bravery  in  wars  and  won. This  honour  included  land  for  farming.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the  beneficiaries  there  is  a  person,  maybe  an  aide, who  is  privileged.<\/span><\/p>\n

He  was also  granted  land.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u0397is  land  is  about  watering.<\/span><\/p>\n

He  irrigates  his  crop  and  he  earns  income.<\/span><\/p>\n

However,  he  does  not   pay  his  taxes, that  is  why  he   says  theories  that  do  not  make  sense,  trying  to  justify  himself.<\/span><\/p>\n

For  this  reason  Fraison  legislates.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  law  is  for  the  people  who  do  not pay  their  taxes  to  the  State, and  who  cut  wood  in  the  distributed  land.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  trunks  are  maybe  cut  during  the  winter  and, as  they  are  raw,   they  are  thrown  in  the  river  for  processing.<\/span><\/p>\n

After  reading  the  text,  we  understand  that:<\/span><\/p>\n

Inscriptions   serves  writing  and  the  language  is  Greek.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  society  is  governed  by  rules,  which  are  often  reviewed  and adjusted,   according  to  the  special  occasions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  Arts  and  the  techniques,  prove  their  socio-cultural  level.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u03a4he  technique  of  clearing   the  land  under   a  rational  concept.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  land  is  farmed  and  irrigated, so the  people  know  how  to  use  the  underground  water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wood-cutting  smartly, for  easy  carriage  through  the  river,  which  facilitates  wood-cutters\u2019  work  from  the  past  to  the  present.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  rest  of  the text, which  is  missing, would   help  us  to  fully  render  the  ideas  evoked  in  it.
