{"id":1323,"date":"2021-05-22T21:22:24","date_gmt":"2021-05-22T21:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sarpidon-academy.eu\/?post_type=ignition-service&#038;p=1323"},"modified":"2022-05-23T20:52:46","modified_gmt":"2022-05-23T20:52:46","slug":"tis-faistou-simeioma","status":"publish","type":"ignition-service","link":"https:\/\/sarpidon-academy.eu\/en\/ignition-service\/tis-faistou-simeioma\/","title":{"rendered":"THE  NOTE OF   PHAISTOS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>A&nbsp; hidden&nbsp; informative&nbsp; note.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>A&nbsp; Time&nbsp; Definition&nbsp; of&nbsp; Transactions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">\u0399t&nbsp; was&nbsp; found&nbsp; in&nbsp; the&nbsp; Palace&nbsp; of&nbsp; Phaistos&nbsp; in&nbsp; Minoan&nbsp; Crete,&nbsp; in<strong>&nbsp; Greece. <\/strong>It&nbsp; dates&nbsp; back&nbsp; to&nbsp; 1400&nbsp;&nbsp; B.C..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>In&nbsp; the&nbsp; text&nbsp; we&nbsp; can&nbsp; find&nbsp;&nbsp; the&nbsp; timeline&nbsp; of&nbsp; two&nbsp; people\u2019s&nbsp; meeting.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">It&nbsp; is&nbsp; a&nbsp; text&nbsp; of&nbsp; only&nbsp; two&nbsp; words, ,&nbsp; which&nbsp; can&nbsp; be&nbsp; interpreted&nbsp; in&nbsp; many&nbsp; ways,&nbsp; depending&nbsp; on&nbsp; the approach&nbsp; to&nbsp; be&nbsp; followed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">This&nbsp; informative&nbsp; note&nbsp;&nbsp; was found&nbsp; during&nbsp; the&nbsp; excavations&nbsp; of the&nbsp; Palace&nbsp; of&nbsp; Phaistos&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; and&nbsp; it&nbsp; was&nbsp; inscribed&nbsp; at&nbsp; the&nbsp; bottom&nbsp; of&nbsp; a&nbsp; pot. Now,&nbsp; it&nbsp; is&nbsp; guarded&nbsp;&nbsp; at&nbsp; the <strong>&nbsp;Museum&nbsp; of&nbsp; Irakleio.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">According&nbsp; to&nbsp; the&nbsp; researchers&nbsp; who&nbsp; dealt&nbsp; with&nbsp; the&nbsp; text,&nbsp; this&nbsp; dates&nbsp; back&nbsp; to&nbsp; 1400&nbsp; B.C..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">A&nbsp; group&nbsp; of&nbsp; researchers&nbsp; dealt&nbsp; with&nbsp; the&nbsp; note,&nbsp; and&nbsp; matched&nbsp; the&nbsp; symbols&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; text,&nbsp;&nbsp; to their&nbsp;&nbsp; phonetic&nbsp; values,&nbsp; as&nbsp; follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>SI MA I JA TE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">Honouring&nbsp; their&nbsp; work ,&nbsp; we&nbsp; did not&nbsp;&nbsp; retrace&nbsp; the&nbsp; initial&nbsp; text,&nbsp; which&nbsp;&nbsp; includes&nbsp; symbols.&nbsp; Instead, we&nbsp; began&nbsp; from&nbsp; the&nbsp; point&nbsp; we&nbsp; had&nbsp; stopped.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>We&nbsp; studied&nbsp; the&nbsp; phonetic&nbsp; values&nbsp; in&nbsp; the&nbsp; actual&nbsp; text. We understood&nbsp; it,&nbsp; we&nbsp; read&nbsp;&nbsp; and&nbsp;&nbsp; rendered&nbsp;&nbsp; it&nbsp; into&nbsp; Modern&nbsp; Greek,&nbsp; but&nbsp; we&nbsp; also&nbsp; approached&nbsp; it&nbsp; philosophically.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>Figuration&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; phonetic&nbsp; values&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; text.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">In&nbsp; our own&nbsp; view,&nbsp; the&nbsp; phonetic&nbsp; values&nbsp; are&nbsp; formed&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; as&nbsp; follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>SIMAI JATE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">The&nbsp; language&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; text&nbsp; is&nbsp; <strong>Greek<\/strong>,&nbsp; <strong>Archaic<\/strong>, typical&nbsp; of&nbsp; any&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Minoan&nbsp; text<\/strong>. One&nbsp; can&nbsp; identify&nbsp;&nbsp; only&nbsp; <strong>Pontic<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">According&nbsp; to&nbsp; the&nbsp; Pontic&nbsp; Dialect,&nbsp; the&nbsp; meaning&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; text&nbsp; is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">\u03c3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac\u03b9 \u03c4\u03c3\u03c5\u03b1\u03c4\u03b5\u03cd \u2013 &nbsp;&nbsp;meeting&nbsp; soon , \u03c3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac\u03b9 \u03c4\u03c3\u03c5\u03b1\u03c4\u03ad\u03b2\u03bf\u03bc\u03b5 \u2013 we&nbsp;&nbsp; are&nbsp; meeting&nbsp; soon<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">The&nbsp; utterance&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; words&nbsp;&nbsp; and&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; verbal&nbsp; types, follows&nbsp; the&nbsp; grammatical&nbsp;&nbsp; rules&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; <strong>Pontic<\/strong>, the&nbsp; <strong>Doric<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; and&nbsp; the&nbsp; <strong>Macedonian<\/strong>&nbsp; Dialects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>Rendition&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; text:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>\u03a3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac\u03b9 \u03c4\u03c3\u03b1\u03c4\u03b5\u03cd<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>The&nbsp; Text&nbsp;&nbsp; in&nbsp; Modern&nbsp; Greek:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong><em>He&nbsp; is&nbsp; meeting&nbsp; soon.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong><em>(<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u03a3\u03c4\u03b1 \u03ba\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03ac \u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03ac\u03b5\u03b9).<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\"><strong>A&nbsp; Philosophical&nbsp; Approach<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">We&nbsp; believe&nbsp; that&nbsp;&nbsp; this&nbsp;&nbsp; text&nbsp; is&nbsp; an<strong>&nbsp; informative&nbsp; letter, a&nbsp; note&nbsp;&nbsp; or&nbsp; an&nbsp; invitation&nbsp; <\/strong>for&nbsp; an arranged&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; meeting&nbsp; not&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; exactly&nbsp; scheduled, about&nbsp; a&nbsp; meeting&nbsp; of&nbsp; any&nbsp; type&nbsp; between&nbsp; the&nbsp; servants &nbsp;&nbsp;working&nbsp; at&nbsp; a&nbsp; cellar. It was found in&nbsp; the&nbsp; cellar&nbsp;&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; Palace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">Its&nbsp; author, either&nbsp; a&nbsp; man&nbsp; or&nbsp; a&nbsp; woman, in&nbsp; order&nbsp; to&nbsp; avoid&nbsp; comments&nbsp; from&nbsp; other&nbsp; people, knew&nbsp; who&nbsp;&nbsp; would&nbsp; come&nbsp; close&nbsp; to&nbsp; the&nbsp; pot. So,&nbsp; he\/she&nbsp; inscribed&nbsp; his\/her&nbsp; wish&nbsp; for&nbsp; a&nbsp; meeting&nbsp; at&nbsp; the&nbsp; bottom&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; pot, even&nbsp; for&nbsp; a&nbsp; date, which&nbsp; would&nbsp; take&nbsp; place&nbsp; soon,&nbsp; but&nbsp; it is not exactly&nbsp; scheduled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">The&nbsp; word&nbsp; <strong><em>\u03c3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac\u03b9 (\u201csimai\u201d), <\/em><\/strong>is&nbsp; clearly&nbsp; a&nbsp; Doric&nbsp; Macedonian&nbsp; expression,&nbsp; which&nbsp; means&nbsp; <em>soon<\/em>&nbsp; (\u00ab<em>\u03c3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac<\/em>\u00bb). \u03a4he&nbsp; suffix&nbsp; &#8211;<em>\u03ac\u03b9<\/em>&nbsp; (\u201c-<em>ai<\/em>\u201d)&nbsp; is&nbsp; found&nbsp; on&nbsp; Doric&nbsp; inscriptions&nbsp;&nbsp; in&nbsp; the&nbsp; area&nbsp; of&nbsp; Macedonia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">Nowadays,&nbsp; apart&nbsp; from&nbsp; the&nbsp; <strong>Macedonian<\/strong>&nbsp; Dialect, the&nbsp; <strong>Pontic<\/strong>&nbsp; one&nbsp; also&nbsp; uses&nbsp; this&nbsp; suffix, e.g. <strong><em>\u03c0\u03b1\u03bb\u03b1\u03bb\u03ac\u03b9, \u03c0\u03bf\u03bb\u03bb\u03ac\u03b9, \u03c3\u03b9\u03bc\u03ac\u03b9<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; (\u201c<em>palalai\u201d, \u201cpollai\u201d, \u201csimai<\/em>\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: flor;\">The&nbsp; inscriber&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; note&nbsp; arranges&nbsp; the&nbsp; meeting,&nbsp; maybe&nbsp; at&nbsp; random, but&nbsp; with&nbsp; no&nbsp; precise&nbsp; schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A  hidden  informative  note.<br \/>\nA  Time  Definition  of  Transactions.<br \/>\n\u0399t  was  found  in  the  Palace  of  Phaistos  in  Minoan  Crete,  in  Greece.
