THE  CONSTRUCTION  OF  A  CHURCH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  construction  techniques  of  a  church.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It  was  found  in  Knossos,  in  Minoan  Crete, Greece. <\/strong>It  dates  back  to  1500  B.C..<\/span><\/p>\n

We     have  neither   a  depiction  of the  original, nor  any  elements  about  when  and  by  whom  it  was  found,  until  now.<\/span><\/p>\n

In  the  text  we  can  find  construction  techniques.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  text  is  a  document  of  specialized    architectural   knowledge  and  building    activity   of  the  time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  phonetic  values,  as  they  were  identified  and  phonetically  transcribed  by  Ventris  <\/strong><\/em>and  <\/strong><\/em>Chadwick, are  the  following:<\/span><\/p>\n

We  studied  the  phonetic  values  in  the  actual  text. We understood  it,  we  read   and   rendered   it  into  Modern  Greek,  but  we  also  approached  it  philosophically.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In  our own  view,  the  phonetic  values  are  formed    as  follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

The  language  of  the  text  is  Greek<\/strong>,  Archaic<\/strong>, typical  of  any   Minoan  text<\/strong>. The  grammatical  structure  of   the  text  is  mixed.<\/span><\/p>\n

One  can  identify   Pontic, Macedonian  and  Doric<\/strong>   words, as  well as  Classical  Greek  Language<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  utterance  of  the  words   and  of  the  verbal  types, follows  the  grammatical   rules<\/strong>  of  the  Pontic  and  Doric   Dialects, as  well  as  those  of  the  Classical  Greek   Language.<\/span><\/p>\n

I  am  the  chief  builder,  even  if  I  am  a  beginner.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I  use   a  shovel,  to   put  the  stones  of  the  church  in  the  correct  order<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I   feel  tired,  as  I  put  the  stones  in  the  acne  all  the  time. When  I  build,  I  chop  the  surfaces  and   the  angles  accordingly, trying  to  do  my  best.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A   Philosophical  Approach:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  author  of  this  text  is   probably  a  young  builder  with  architectural  knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  building  under  construction  is  a  church.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  builder  analyses  the  method  of  construction  in  this  text.<\/span><\/p>\n

I  dig  with  the  shovel.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I  put  the  stones  in  every  angle.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When  I  come  to  the  surface  of  the  ground, I  put  stitches,  where  I  continue  putting  stones.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I  form  acnes  in  the  angles, I  feel  tired  as  I  stretch    the  stones  while  building. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When  it  is  necessary, I  chop  the  surface  of  the  wall  so  that    it   be  smooth  and  I  form  the  acnes  of  the  frame,  as  well  as    the  dimensions  of  the  building.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I  chop  the  stones  to  make  them  smooth,  according  to  the  design  of  the  building.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My  building  actions  are  correct.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  technique  is  absolutely  the  same  as  the one    builders   from  Western  Macedonia,  Epirus, Dorida  used.<\/span><\/p>\n

We  realize  that  the  Minoans  have  the  same  knowledge  about  the  use  and  fixing  the  stone  as  Dorians, across  time, and  as  the  builders  from  Western  Macedonia, Epirus  and  Dorida.<\/span><\/p>\n

This  ancient  knowledge  and   technique  about  the  use  of  the  stone,  led  to  the   construction  of  masterpieces  in  the  world.<\/span><\/p>\n
