Dialogues  of  Praises. Your  wife\u2019s   endowments.<\/span><\/p>\n

This   text  was  found  on  the  Internet. We   have  found   it  on  the  website  The  Greeks\u2019  Net  (\u201cE<\/em>\u03bb\u03bb\u03ae\u03bd\u03c9\u03bd<\/em> \u0394\u03af\u03ba\u03c4\u03c5\u03bf<\/em>\u201d).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We     have  neither   a  depiction  of the  original, nor  any  elements  about  when  and  by  whom  it  was  found,  until  now.<\/span><\/p>\n

In  the  text  we  can  find    praising   dialogues  between  two  acquaintances, where  the  one  praises  the  other\u2019s  wife.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  text  is  a  document  of  the  fact  that  the  society  of  the  time  judges  a  woman\u2019s   behaviour, according  to  her  actions  and  principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

We  studied  the  phonetic  values  in  the  actual  text. We understood  it,  we  read   and   rendered   it  into  Modern  Greek,  but  we  also  approached  it  philosophically.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

One  can  identify   Pontic,    words, as  well as  Classical  Greek  Language.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  utterance  of  the  words   and  of  the  verbal  types, follows  the  grammatical   rules  of  the  Pontic<\/strong>   Dialect, as  well  as  those  of  the  Classical  Greek   Language.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A   Philosophical  Approach:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u03a4his  is a  dialogue  about  a personal  opinion,  where  the  interlocutor,  expressing  his  own  view, judges  a  woman,  mentioning  her  endowments, as  follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

In  my  opinion,  these  are  the  endowments   that  your  own  wife  abundantly   has.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In   this  complimentary  dialogue, he  praises  the  man  for  his  excellent  choice  of  this   wife.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reading  this  text,  we  draw  the  conclusion  that,  apart  from  his  wife,  there  are  adulterous  relationships  in   this   man\u2019s  life,  probably  a  female   slave.<\/span><\/p>\n

His  wife  is  judged  from  her  education, her  behaviour,  her  apparel,  but  also  from  her  participation  in   some  actions  for  the  public  good.<\/span><\/p>\n

In any  case  the  text  is  a  praise  concerning  a  woman  of   high  standards.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
