AN  IMAGE  OF  AN  ABANDONED  CHURCH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

An  excursionist\u2019s  recording.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

An  Abandoned  Church.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  Inscription  was  found  in  Pylos,  Messinia,  Greece.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It   dates  back  to  1400  B.C.. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We     have  neither   a  depiction  of the  original, nor  any  elements  about  when  and  by  whom  it  was  found,  until  now.<\/span><\/p>\n

In  the  text  we  can  find   images  of  an  abandoned  church, as  well  as  the  excursionist\u2019s  mixed  feelings.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  text  is  a  document  of  specialized    architectural   knowledge   of  building  a  sanctuary,  as  well  as  the  excursionist\u2019s    developed  religious  feeling.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  phonetic  values,  as  they  were  identified  and  phonetically  transcribed  by  Ventris  <\/strong><\/em>and  <\/strong><\/em>Chadwick, are  the  following:<\/span><\/p>\n

We  studied  the  phonetic  values  in  the  actual  text. We understood  it,  we  read   and   rendered   it  into  Modern  Greek,  but  we  also  approached  it  philosophically.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In  our own  view,  the  phonetic  values  are  formed    as  follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

WANA-KA-TERO-TEMENO-TOSOJO-PEMA-RAWE-KESIJO-TEMENO-TERETAO-TOSO-PEMA-TOSODI-TERETA-WORO-KIJO-NEJO-EREMO-TOSOJO-PEMA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  language  of  the  text  is  Greek<\/strong>,  Archaic<\/strong>, typical  of  any   Minoan  text<\/strong>. The  grammatical  structure  of   the  text  is  mixed.<\/span><\/p>\n

One  can  identify   Pontic  <\/strong>  words, as  well as  Classical  Greek  Language<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The  utterance  of  the  words   and  of  the  verbal  types, follows  the  grammatical   rules<\/strong>  of  the  Pontic   Dialect, as  well  as  those  of  the  Classical  Greek   Language.<\/span><\/p>\n

I  am  looking  at  the  huge  church,  searching  for  the  nook  of  the  altar. It  is  huge,  too. A  newly-constructed  place  for  Psalms,  but  abandoned, with  no  voice  echoing.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A   Philosophical  Approach:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The  author  of  the  text  is  an  excursionist<\/strong>. Maybe  he  is  a  pilgrim  of  Holy  Places.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

While  he  visits  a  recently  built  church, <\/strong>he  realizes  that  is  is  abandoned.<\/span><\/p>\n

He  is  surprised  by  the  premises  of  the  church  and  he  wonders   why  this  masterpiece  is  abandoned,  with  neither    Religious  leaders  nor  Priestesses.<\/span><\/p>\n

He  enters   the  Church, he  is  looking  for  the  altar,  he  finds  it  and  he  cries  out:<\/span><\/p>\n

I  cannot  understand  why  such  a  place,  built   for   Psalms  and  hymns,  is  abandoned  and  desolate.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This  abandonment  causes  strong  feelings  to  him. His  religious  feelings  awaken  his  soul,  <\/strong>he  feels  depressed  and  sorry  for  the  abandonment  of  the  Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which  is  the  reason  for  the  abandonment  of  this  bright place,  perhaps?<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe  the  war, the  death,  moving  to  another  place? The  reasons  are  not  mentioned  in  the  text.<\/span><\/p>\n

It  is  sure  that  the  church   is  not  desecrated.  Instead,  it  is  desolate.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
