This Minoan text records a view of the time, about repentance and the way it was carried out.
Those who committed crimes, for any reason, when they were controlled by their consciousness and chased by Erinnyes, they tried to find a shelter in sanctuaries, in order to hit themselves for purification.
However, as human beings, apart from the worship regulations, they were targeted and abandoned by God.
For this reason, the judging Religious leader says:
The Gods do not provide places for the criminals’ repentance.
With these words, he means that there was not such a place in a sanctuary, to hit themselves for purification.
According to Druid Religious leaders, they were wandering in the forests for a long time, fasting and working unpaid, as a kind of repentance.
